PANEER 65/PANEER RECIPES

DSC09795 Paneer in any form is liked by my daughter,so when Dhivya wanted something to munch in her holidays and the rain was pouring heavily i made this paneer65.Since it is a fried item you can have it as an evening snack or when planning it for dinner you can have it as a starter as well.An easy to make recipe with a very few steps you can make these in no time and satisfy the demands of your kids.This can be made with cauliflower as well.

INGREDIENTS

Paneer cubes 15-20
Rice flour 1/2 cup
Fennel powder 1/4tsp
Orange food colour a pinch
Salt to taste
Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves a sprig
Curd 1/4  cup
Chaat masala a pinch
Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
Oil to deep fry

HOW TO MAKE

  • In a bowl add rice flour,salt,garam masala powder,fennel powder,chaat masala powder,red chilly powder,orange food colour and curd.Add water and mix it to a smooth batter.Cut the paneer into cubes and keep them ready.Dip them in batter so as to coat them well.

  • Heat oil in a kadai and slowly drop in the coated panner cubes on to the hot oil.Take them out when brown.

  • Fry curry leaves and add to the fried paneer cubes.Mix well and serve hot with tomato ketchup/sauce.

Notes

  • You can add cauliflower florets in place of paneer cubes,but make sure you dip the florets in turmeric added hot water to remove insects if any.
  • You can add chopped green chillies on top as a garnish if kids are not eating.
  • Addition of corn flour  to the batter,say a teaspoon will result in extra crispiness.
