BREAD PIZZA/KIDS RECIPES/BREAD RECIPES

DSC08321  I know holidays are here and it is difficult for many moms to combat with the fussy eating kids.It is very necessary to keep in view the things which we give to eat for the children.They should not only be filling but also be healthy.I have a few bread recipes but this is slightly different from the previous ones.All kids love pizza and this bread pizza is an easy way to give the kids an easy recipe which is so much like pizza.Easy to make and yum to taste this snack is going to be an instant hit in your household.Scroll down for the recipe..

INGREDIENTS

Bread slices 4
Pizza Sauce 3 tsp
Corn Kernels 3 tsp
Tomato 1
Capsicum 1/2
Onion 1
Grated cheese 2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder 1/2 tsp
Oil 2 tsp
Salt To Taste

HOW TO MAKE

  • Chop veggies and keep them ready.Take corn kernels ready.

  • Apply pizza sauce on all bread slices evenly.Heat tawa,add oil and place the bread slice which has been coated with pizza sauce on the upper side.Place chopped vegetables on top now.Flip carefully making sure veggies don’t fall off.

  • Flip again and check veggies stick to the bread and bread is evenly roasted.Sprinkle grated cheese on top now with black pepper powder and salt.Wait for a second.The cheese will turn gooey and slightly melt.

Notes

  • You can add mushrooms,olives etc. in addition to these veggies.
  • You can sprinkle oregano in place of black pepper powder.
  • Pizza sauce gives a special taste,so don’t avoid.

BREAD PANEER ROLL/PANEER RECIPES/BREAD RECIPES

DSC05836 Bread Paneer Roll is one of the easiest and quickest snack varieties which can make you feel a proud mom.Your kids are going to jump with joy for sure when you make this.I made this on a weekend and Dhivya was more than happy.Paneer is always good for children and i don’t waste a chance to include it in her diet.So this one was enjoyed by her to heart’s content.I also wanted to include corn kernels,but since i didn’t have stock,couidn’t do so.These rolls can be made for breakfast or as an evening snack.Always filling and scrumptious.

INGREDIENTS

Paneer 1 cup
Bread Slices 4-5
Chopped onions 1-2
Butter 1/2 tsp
Oil 1 tsp
Red Chilly Powder 1/2 tsp
Pav Bhaji Masala 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves a few
Salt to taste
Tomato Ketchup 2 tsp

INGREDIENTS

  • Gently scramble paneer with your hands.Add in all the dry powders,chopped onions,coriander leaves chopped and tomato ketchup and salt to taste.

  • Mix all the above ingredients to form a nice filling.Cut the edges of the bread and keep them ready.

  • Flatten with the help of a roti roller.Keep 2-3 pieces ready.The texture should smooth.Keep the filling ready and place it in the bread slice.

  • Gently roll the bread slice to meet both the ends.Seal both the ends with your hand.Alternatively seal with maida=water paste.
  • Keep the rolls ready on a plate.

  • In a tawa grease butter and gently place the rolls and fry on one side and then flip to turn the other side.

  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Notes

  • Could add corn kernels,grated carrots,moong dal sprouts also alongwith paneer for filling.
  • Adding pepper powder or chopped chilles will add extra spice to the roll.
  • Don’t avoid butter as that incorporates a nice crunch and taste to the roll.

BREAD CHANNA/BREAD RECIPES/KIDS RECIPES

DSC03974 It is heavily raining here in Bangalore and there are certain food items which are irresistible and want you to make them and enjoy and feed your loved ones.Bread channa is definitely one of those rain recipes as i like to call them.When you make channa for your rotis for dinner you can make a little extra and keep it aside and make use of this for bread channa.It is filling to the tummy and full of protein too.As i said kids will surely love this and make you feel a proud mom.Link to channa masala is given below.

INGREDIENTS

Channa Masala 1 cup
Bread slices 5-6
Onion 1
Coriander leaves a few
Oil 2=3 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp

HOW TO MAKE

  • Take a tawa and drizzle oil and when it gets heated place the bread on it.Roast on the other side.

  • Place it on a plate.Add channa masala about 2 teaspoons and add choppd onions  and coriander leaves over it.Also add salt and mix well.

  • Bread masala is ready to be served.

Notes

  • You can sprinkle some chilli powder oe chaat powder over it.
  • Addition of grated carrots,chopped tomatoes along with onions will add to the taste.
  • You can also add sev over it and add green chutney and sweet chutney over the masala and serve it as bread channa chaat.

SOYA CHUNKS SANDWICH/SOYA RECIPES/BREAD RECIPES/KIDS RECIPES

DSC04112 Who doesn’t like sandwiches! And I’am no exception.I wanted to make this for a long time but couldn’t do so and Dhivya’s constant nagging to make something different made me try this.This sandwich is made out of the soya chunks curry i make for rotis but with a slight twist.It tastes yum to pack for lunch or for kids parties and outings or picnics as well.It is really healthy with all the goodness of proteins and is filling too and can withstand hunger for long time.Believe me your kids will like it to the core.You can try this with leftover soya chunks curry or make a fresh curry as well.Let’s see how it is made.Please see the recipe for soya chunks curry here. Butter cubes 4 1inch pieces

HOW TO MAKE
  • Take fresh bread slice and keep in a tawa for roasting by adding little bit of oil.Keep the curry on the upper side of the bread.After it is roasted on the bottom take it out.Keep another slice and roast.

  • Keep the second bread on above the first one.Keep them properly sealed by pressing.

  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup or sauce.

  • You can add mixed veggies for extra taste.
  • If you want add cheese on top.
  • You can make this in a toaster as well instead of tawa.
 

EGGLESS FRENCH TOAST/BREAD RECIPES

All kids young ones or teenagers all like bread toast and my teenage daughter is no exception.Specially after coming home as an evening snack it becomes very important to give them nutricious and at the same time filling food.Eggless french toast is my friends idea and she introduced me to this recipe and Dhivya found an instant liking to this.Usually i make sandwich or simple toast with jam but this was a little spicy and crispy too.So nowadays i make this often and is enjoyed by all.See the recipe down and try this for your kids too.
