All kids are fond of this hakka noodles and my daughter always orders this whenever we eat out.I do make this at home many a times for her and add a lot of veggies to add to the taste.Hakka noodles posses a tasty following and so it has many likings.The smoky taste and aroma it gives is liked by many.We can reproduce the same taste at home with minimal efforts and can be made easily and quickly too.You could have this for snack,dinner or as a lunch box option.Be sure to include a lo of vegetables as kids tend to eat veggies alongwith noodles.Scroll down for an easy Vegetable Hakka Noodle Recipe..
INGREDIENTS
| Vegetable Hakka Noodles | 1 packet |
| Onion | 1 |
| Carrot | 1 |
| Capsicum | 1 |
| Cabbage(shredded) | 1/4 cup |
| Long Beans | 10 |
| Spring Onion(chopped) | 1/4 cup |
| Soya Sauce | 1 tsp |
| Green Chilli Sauce | 1 tsp |
| White Pepper Powder | 1/2 tsp |
| Salt | to taste |
| Oil | 2 tsp |
HOW TO MAKE
- Chop all vegetables and keep them ready.In a pan add water with a drop of oil and boil it.
- Once the water starts boiling add noodles.After it is cooked strain and place it in running water.
- In a pan add oil and add chopped spring onions and onion.Reserve a sppon of spring onion for garnishing in the end.Once onions turn pink,add rest of the veggies.
- Once the veggies are soft and crunchy add green chilli sauce.
- Add soya sauce followed by white pepper powder.
- Add boiled noodles and toss well.Add chopped spring onions for garnish.
- Vegetable Hakka Noodles is ready.
Notes
- You can add a spoon of tomato ketchup along with the veggies.
- Addition of a pod of crushed garlic enhances the taste.
- Don’t over cook the noodles.
- After boiling the noodles run them in running cold water to prevent sticking of noodles.
